David B. Nash was named the Founding Dean of the Jefferson College of Population Health (JCPH) in 2008. This appointment caps a 25-year tenure on the faculty of Thomas Jefferson University. He is also the Dr. Raymond C. and Doris N. Grandon Professor of Health Policy. JCPH provides innovative educational programming designed to develop healthcare leaders for the future. Its offerings include Masters Programs in Public Health, Healthcare Quality and Safety, Health Policy, Applied Health Economics and Population Health. JCPH also offers a doctoral program in Population Health Sciences.

Dr. Nash is a board-certified internist who is internationally recognized for his work in public accountability for outcomes, physician leadership development, and quality-of-care improvement.

Repeatedly named to Modern Healthcare’s list of Most Powerful Persons in Healthcare, his national activities cover a wide scope. Dr. Nash is a principal faculty member for quality of care programming for the American Association of Physician Leadership in Tampa, FL and leads their academic joint venture with JCPH. He serves on the NQF Task Force on Improving Population Health and the John M. Eisenberg Award Committee for The Joint Commission. He also is a founding member of the AAMC-IQ Steering Committee, the group charged with infusing the tenets of quality and safety into medical education.

Dr. Nash has governance responsibilities for organizations in the public and private sectors. He has chaired the Technical Advisory Group (TAG) of the Pennsylvania Health Care Cost Containment Council (HC4) for 18 years and he is widely recognized as a pioneer in the public reporting of outcomes. In the not-for-profit sector, Dr. Nash served on the Board of Trustees of Catholic Healthcare Partners (now Mercy Partners), in Cincinnati, OH (1998–2008), where he was the inaugural chair of the board committee on Quality and Safety. Currently, he is on the board of Main Line Health, a four-hospital system in suburban Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he also chairs the board committee on Quality and Safety. In the for-profit sector, Dr. Nash was named to the Board of Directors for Humana, Inc., one of the nation’s largest publically traded healthcare companies, in 2009. In October 2013 he joined the board of Vestex, a privately held advanced medical textile company in Orlando, FL. In 2014 he joined the board of InfoMC, a leading information technology company in suburban Philadelphia. He is on the health care advisory board for both Arsenal Capital Partners in NYC, and the Care Innovations Validation Institute, an Intel Company in Roseville, CA.

Dr. Nash has received many awards in recognition of his achievements. He received the top recognition award from the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (1995), the Philadelphia Business Journal Healthcare Heroes Award (1997), and was named an honorary distinguished fellow of the American College of Physician Executives in 1998. In 2006 he received the Elliot Stone Award for leadership in public accountability for health data from NAHDO. Wharton honored Dr. Nash in 2009 with the Wharton Healthcare Alumni Achievement Award and in 2012 with the Joseph Wharton Social Impact Award. He teaches in MIT’s Department of Urban Studies & Planning and the Sloan School’s Advanced Management Program. Coughlin conducts research, speaks and consults on the impact of global demographic change and technology trends on consumer behavior, business innovation & public policy. Allison Brennan is the Vice President of Policy for the National Association of ACOs where she helps develop and advocate for policies benefiting ACOs. Ms. Brennan joined NAACOS in 2015 and prior to that was a senior advocacy advisor at the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) where she helped lead the association’s advocacy efforts. Before MGMA, she worked at the Brookings Institution and National Patient Advocate Foundation and began her career interning in the United States Senate. Allison holds a bachelor’s degree from the College of William and Mary and a master’s degree in public policy from Georgetown University, with a focus on health policy.

Ron Greeno, MD, FCCP, MHM, is the Senior Advisor for Medical Affairs for Team Health. Just prior to TH’s acquisition of IPC Healthcare he had become the Chief Strategy Officer at IPC, joining IPC after a long career in hospital medicine. He was the founder of Cogent Healthcare and served as its Chief Medical Officer for the first 17 years of the company’s history eventually becoming the company’s first EVP of Strategy and Innovation.

He is considered a pioneer in Hospital Medicine, which has become the fastest growing field in the history of American medicine. He is a founding member of the Society of Hospital Medicine. He is the President Elect of SHM and serves on the Society’s Board of Directors. He is also the long standing Chairman of Public Policy leading SHM’s advocacy and governmental relations efforts.

Dr. Amy Nguyen Howell is a board-certified family practice physician. She currently oversees all clinical programs at CAPG and supports advocacy work in Sacramento and Washington, DC. She was most recently tapped to be a member of the Technical Expert Panel (TEP) for the MACRA Measurement Development Program, and she is a leader on the Population Based Payment Workgroup, as part of the Healthcare Payment Learning and Action Network (LAN), recommending national guidelines for an effective population based payment model. Additionally, she sits on the steering committee of the Core Quality Measurement Collaborative with AHIP and CMS and chairs the Patient Experience/ Patient Reported Outcomes (PROs) Core Measure Set Workgroup, setting national core measures for patient activation. Further, she contributes to the Population Health Management, Clinical Programs, and Patient-Centered Specialty Practice Advisory Committees at the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), which provides guidance on provider quality measures and requirements.

Dr. Rita Numerof is President and co-founder of Numerof & Associates, a strategy development and implementation consulting firm. She brings over 25 years of experience working across healthcare – from providers and payers to pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers. An expert in business model transformation, Dr. Numerof specializes in helping delivery organizations with such diverse issues as value-based care and payment models, managing cost and quality variation, population health initiatives, and consumer engagement. Dr. Numerof is widely published in business journals and has authored six books, including Bringing Value to Healthcare: Practical Steps for Getting to a Market-Based Model (2016).
